The Inaugural 'Chill City' launched in Melbourne's Alexandra Gardens, Good Friday 2009. Headlined by The John Butler Trio (for the last time as a Trio) and joined by Dub Pioneers The Easy Star All stars, Paul Kelly, 60's soul superstar Betty Harris with the Bamboos, Ben Kweller, Dan Sultan and others. The crowd was treated to another great event hosted by the team from Chill Island. The Success secured a certain return for the event in Easter 2010.
